Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to support children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs across the UK. Roles include Maths, English and Science tutoring, with in-person, hybrid or remote options and flexible hours under self-employed terms.

We offer competitive pay, DBS support, CPD and mentoring, and a supportive team aligned with local authorities and schools to transform learners' outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a trauma-informed approach
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills (QTLS)
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references
• UK-based with right to work (including remote/online roles)
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online or hybrid Maths, English or Science tuition to children, young people with SEND/SEMH
• Plan and report on lessons and provide feedback on student progress
• Deliver trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring across KS1–KS5 as appropriate
• Support pupils referred by local authorities and schools through flexible tutoring

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
