Job description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support children with additional needs in a nurturing and inclusive school environment. This is a long-term, full-time role ideal for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support and lead small group interventions for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)

  • Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment

  • Work closely with other staff, parents, and external professionals

  • Encourage and promote positive learning behaviours

Requirements:
  • Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs (essential)

  • Proven ability to work both one-to-one and with small groups

  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach

  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable but not essential

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
