Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Newham

Contract Type: Long Term

Start Date: ASAP Start

Duration: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)

Description:

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted Outstanding academy that requires specialist support for pupils unable to adapt to mainstream classrooms.

The successful applicants will have:

  • Experience working with ASD, SLD, and PMLD
  • Ability to work with challenging behavior
  • Previous experience working with students aged 2 to 19 years old
  • Valid and enhanced child and adult DBS
The role consists of:
  • Supporting the class teacher
  • Providing 1:1 support to students
  • Personal care responsibilities
  • Maintaining focus and discipline appropriate to students' ages and abilities
  • Building positive rapport with students
