SEN Teaching Assistant - Bedford
Full-Time September Start Long-Term Role

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive school in Bedford is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.



Key Details:

  • Location: Bedford

  • Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Contract: Full-time, long-term (potential to become permanent)



The Role:

You will support students aged 11-16 with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to help every student achieve their potential.



What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in an SEN or support setting

  • A patient, caring and proactive attitude

  • Strong communication skills

  • A real passion for making a positive impact on pupils with additional needs

  • Availability from September



Desirable:

  • Training in behaviour management or safeguarding

  • Experience with EHCPs, sensory needs, or speech and language support

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, HLTA)
