Job Title: SEN TA
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Salary: £12.82 per hour
Start Date: Immediate/After Summer 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

GSL Education are looking for a kind and supportive Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a warm and welcoming primary mainstream school in Bournemouth. If you enjoy helping children learn and grow, this is the perfect role for you! You'll support students with special educational needs, helping them take part in classroom activities and reach their full potential.

Your Key Tasks and Duties:

  • Work closely with teachers to support fun, inclusive lessons.
  • Help students learn, build confidence, and make friends.
  • Give extra help to students who need it, especially those with SEN.
  • Create a caring and welcoming classroom for all children.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and keep things organised.
  • Track student progress and help follow learning plans.
  • Support learning activities designed for students with SEN needs.

Position Requirements:

  • A strong passion for helping students learn and grow.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to work with teachers and students.
  • Ability to adjust to different learning needs and classroom settings.
  • Experience working with children or SEN is helpful but not essential.
  • University students looking to gain school experience are welcome to apply.
  • A CV covering the last ten years (with no unexplained gaps).
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one).
