Job Opportunity: Specialist Swimming Teacher - SEN Swim

Location:West London (Various Venues)

Hours:Part-time - Weekday Evenings and Weekends

About SEN Swim

SEN Swim is a rapidly growing organisation dedicated to providing high-quality, 1:1 swimming lessons for children and young people with additional needs. We support a wide range of learners, including those with autism, ADHD, Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorders, and anxiety-related conditions.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced swimming professional to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and structured swimming lessons tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering 1:1 swimming lessons to children and young people with SEN.
  • Ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment at all times.
  • Committing to set shifts each school term, with clear advance scheduling.
  • Travelling independently between teaching venues across West London.

Current Vacancies by Location/Time:

  • Mondays & Thursdays (4-7pm)- Oaklands Secondary School, TW3 4BX
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays (4-7pm)- Jack Tizard School, W12 7PA
  • Wednesdays & Thursdays (4-7pm)- Strathmore School, TW10 7HN
  • Saturdays (1-3pm)- Janet Adegoke Pool, W12 7DB
  • Sundays (12-4pm)- Janet Adegoke Pool, W12 7DB
  • New Venue Coming Soon - W9 Westminster

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and/or young people with SEN (desirable).
  • ASA/Swim England SEQ Level 1 or 2 swimming teaching qualification (desirable).
  • Willingness to travel to various sites in West London (W12, TW3, TW4, TW10, UB6 and nearby).
  • Reliability and a strong commitment to supporting children with additional needs.

Training & Support:

  • Full training provided for successful candidates.
  • For the right applicant, we offer a repayment plan for required swim teaching qualifications.

Additional Information:

  • Full enhanced DBS checks will be carried out on all successful candidates.
  • We also run holiday crash courses during school holidays (approx. 15 hours per week).
  • Term-based working structure with flexible planning for shifts each term.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £28.00-£32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
