Job summary

Whitchurch CofE Infant and Nursery Academy is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dedicated team to support teaching and learning for pupils with SEN. You will work alongside teachers to help overcome barriers to learning and provide dedicated learning support.

The role involves implementing activities, monitoring progress, and assisting with classroom resources, safeguarding, and pupil welfare under supervision. Experience in SEN environments is valued.

Qualifications

• To work with teachers as part of a professional team to support teaching and learning for SEN pupils.
• Providing learning support to pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as directed by the teacher.
• Providing feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and behaviour.
• Support the teacher in recording pupil progress/activities.
• Provide feedback to pupils in relation to attainment and progress under the guidance of the teacher.
• Assist with break-time supervision and movement around the school.
