SEN Support Worker - Wheatley

* Start Date: ASAP
* Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Term-time only)
* Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)

A wonderful specialist school in Wheatley is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join their welcoming and supportive team. The school caters to children and young people aged 2-19 with severe and complex learning difficulties. They are deeply committed to giving every student the very best start in life, no matter their challenges. This is a role where no two days are the same. As an SEN Support Worker, you'll support students both in the classroom and during tailored activities, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. You'll also work closely with experienced teachers and therapists in a collaborative and uplifting environment - an ideal setting to gain valuable experience or begin a fulfilling career in education, therapy, or care.
What makes you a great fit for this SEN Support Worker role?
* You are passionate about supporting children with additional and complex needs
* You hold a GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
* You are patient, empathetic, and have a warm, engaging personality
* You're a team player who's always ready to pitch in and help
* You may have previous experience with SEN or in a care/support role (preferred, not essential)
Day-to-day responsibilities of a SEN Support Worker include:
* Assisting in the delivery of tailored lessons and engaging activities
* Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups with learning, communication, and life skills
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support
* Helping students build confidence, independence, and emotional resilience
* Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued
