Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking an experienced SEN Support Worker to join a specialist educational setting in the Dudley area. You will support children and young adults with profound and complex learning difficulties, delivering person-centred care and enabling development across daily living and communication.

The role is full-time, long-term, Monday–Friday, with pay up to £105 per day and opportunities for training. DBS checks and safeguarding commitments apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with complex SEN or PMLD.
• Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Confident with manual handling and following care plans.
• Experience in support work, healthcare or care settings is relevant.

SEN Support Worker – Complex Needs | Full-Time, Long-Term

Location: Brierley Hill (DY5)
Pay: Up to £105 per day
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

Are you an experienced SEN Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference?

Connex Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Support Worker for a specialist educational setting supporting children and young adults with profound and complex learning difficulties.

This role is ideal for candidates from a care, support work or healthcare background who are confident supporting individuals with complex needs and prefer a holistic, person-centred approach rather than a purely academic focus.

About the Setting

The school provides specialist support for learners aged 5–19, offering education and care tailored to individual needs. Facilities include a dedicated swimming pool, alongside opportunities for sensory activities, life skills development and learning both inside and outside the classroom.

The Role

• Supporting children and young adults across a range of ages and abilities.


• Providing personal care with dignity and respect.


• Carrying out manual handling tasks safely, following individual care plans and training.


• Supporting communication, sensory needs, emotional wellbeing and daily living skills.


• Helping learners develop independence, confidence and life skills.


• Working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide consistent, individualised care.

• Strong experience supporting individuals with complex SEN or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).


• Confidence with personal care and manual handling.

• Experience in support work, healthcare or care settings is highly relevant.
