Role Details

SEN Support Assistant

Part-time, 31.25 hours, term time only. Salary: Level 5 point 7-12 (£25,584 to £27,711 pro-rata). Actual salary: £18,900 - £20,472.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will support pupils with specific learning difficulties, working within our SEN team to:

  • Support pupils in overcoming learning difficulties in classroom and small group settings
  • Respond positively to pupils
  • Use initiative and work independently
  • Maintain written records
  • Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Supervise student groups as needed
Experience & Qualifications

Experience supporting pupils with visual/hearing impairments, behavioral, emotional, social difficulties, physical disabilities, or EAL is beneficial. Experience delivering intervention programs in literacy, numeracy, speech and language, or social, emotional, and mental health is desirable.
