Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a Psychology Graduate to support students with SEN at a mainstream secondary school in Waltham Forest. The role offers hands-on experience delivering 1:1 and small group support, assisting teachers with inclusive lessons, and developing your understanding of child development and emotional regulation.

You will work full-time from November 2026, be patient and proactive, and gain exposure to EHCPs, safeguarding and multi-agency working.

Qualifications

• Psychology degree (or closely related subject).
• Strong interest in SEN, mental health, or child development.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
• Reliable and committed for the full academic year.
• Aspiring Educational Psychologists, Teachers, or Mental Health Practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
• Assisting teachers in delivering inclusive and differentiated lessons.
• Supporting students with emotional regulation, engagement and behaviour.
• Implementing targeted interventions to support learning and wellbeing.
• Gaining exposure to EHCPs, safeguarding practices, and multi-agency working.
