Job Title: SEN Support Assistant - Secondary SEN School
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Company: Remedy Education
Pay Rate: 95 - 115 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term / Temp-to-Perm

Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Support Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs?

Remedy Education is currently working in partnership with a supportive and well-resourced secondary SEN school in Lewisham. We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic SEN Support Assistant to join their passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to supporting students with complex needs and empowering them to reach their full potential.



About the Role:

You will be working with secondary-aged students who have a range of special educational needs including:

  • Autism and ADHD

  • Physical disabilities (some students are wheelchair users)

  • Personal care needs (training provided if needed)

You will be expected to:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support

  • Assist with personal care tasks in a respectful and dignified manner

  • Support students in accessing the curriculum, both in and out of the classroom

  • Help implement EHCP targets under the guidance of the SENCO and class teacher

  • Encourage social development and inclusion



Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a SEN setting or with children/young people with additional needs

  • Comfortable with providing personal care

  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient with excellent communication skills

  • A valid Enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or willing to apply for one)

  • Right to work in the UK
