Job summary

Senploy is working with a supportive Stratford school to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access learning and develop independence in a nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SEN, be patient and reliable, support behaviour and emotional needs, and be comfortable with personal care if required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care background).
• Patient, reliable and nurturing.
• Confident in supporting behaviour and emotional needs.
• Comfortable with personal care if required.
• Team player with safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support.
• Support academic, social and emotional development.
• Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support.
• Support personal care where required.
• Work closely with teachers and the SEN team.
• Create a calm, positive and structured learning environment.
