Archer Social Care has a unique opportunity for an experienced SEN Support Assistant to join a SEND Team in North Yorkshire (various locations).

The successful candidate will be required to travel to various locations including: Hambleton & Richmondshire, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Craven & Ripon, and Scarborough, Whitby & Ryedale. More details of these requirements will be discussed at the interview stage.

Responsibilities:

* Including but not limited to:

• Managing caseloads as specified by the line manager and in accordance with service policies.
• Providing appropriate, tailored support, advice, and early intervention for CYP on caseload.
• Writing Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) advice (signed off by a teacher).
• Contributing to reports, reviews, and re-assessments as required, including writing advice for EHCPs with support from specialist teachers.
• Working as part of a cooperative locality hub team with a flexible approach to support.

Duration: 3-6 months initially

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Mileage: 40p per mile

Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience of statutory frameworks, policies, procedures, and best practices.
• High level of determination, organizational skills, personal drive, energy, and ambition to achieve targets and improve outcomes.
• Sound assessment and case management skills.
• Ability to work in a busy environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Enhanced DBS check dated within the last 12 months. If on the update service, you could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process.
