Position: SEN Assistant Headteacher

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the SEN department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student progress.
* Provide guidance and professional development to staff on SEN best practices.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision and interventions.
* Foster a positive, inclusive school culture where every student feels valued and supported.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial experience in SEN education.
* Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
* Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* A compassionate and patient approach to working with students with diverse needs.
* DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
