Job Description:

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting new role in SEND? Do you have a passion for supporting children with additional needs or disabilities? If so, Academics has the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking enthusiastic, proactive, and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work across Mansfield and surrounding areas in SEND settings.

We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions, with temp to perm options available. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and young people with various needs, including communication difficulties, sensory impairments, cognition and behavioral needs, and complex medical requirements.

Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the daily needs of students to deliver high-quality care and education.
  • Collaborating with education staff to plan and assess progress.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive environment aligned with the school's ethos.
  • Supporting pupils individually and in small groups to overcome learning barriers, deliver positive behavior support, and implement targeted interventions.
  • Upholding safeguarding policies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils and vulnerable adults.
  • Maintaining a current DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
