Job Title: SEN Specialist Assistant

A lovely primary school in Henleaze is looking for a passionate and dedicated candidate who has experience with SEN/ASD/ADHD to join their team as a SEN Specialist Assistant.

Details:

  • £90 - £100 per day, depending on experience
  • Full-time, Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm
  • Term time only
  • Location: Bristol – BS9

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with individual learners in the classroom 1:1, or with small groups in the Learning Support department.
  • Supporting children's behaviour for learning in the classroom.
  • Helping children understand the teacher’s instructions.
  • Tracking and recording pupil progress.

The right candidate will have:

  • Graduates qualified in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or a solid educational background (GCSEs in Maths and English), plus prior experience as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience working with SEN children, such as youth work, support work, mental health work, or SEN in sport.
  • An enthusiastic and passionate attitude to making a difference in the lives of children with ASD / ADHD.
  • Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour.
