SEN/SLCN Teacher - (Aspire Primary School - Croydon)

Bright Futures, Inspired By You. Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for an SEN/SLCN Teacher at Aspire Learning in Croydon! Aspire Learning is an independent primary school providing inspirational, nurture-based specialist SEND education to pupils aged 5-11 years old. We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Teachers to join our supportive team.

Due to recent acquisitions, we are looking for SEN Teachers with experience working with children aged 5-11 with ASC and speech, language, and communication needs. Experience working with pre-verbal ASC pupils and supporting communication development using approaches such as PECS, Makaton, Attention Autism, and TEACCH is essential.

Some pupils may require personal care and support. At Horizon Care and Education, our teachers are supported by our Director of Curriculum, Headteachers, SENCos, Operational Directors, the Managing Director of Education Services, and our extensive therapeutic team.

What we’re looking for from you:
  • QTS or QTLS Qualification
  • Proven teaching and learning experience
  • Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge
  • Outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Energy, passion, and drive to raise standards
  • Initiative, vision, and excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Experience working with students with SEMH and additional needs
  • Knowledge of developments in education
