Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd. in the UK is recruiting SEND Tutors and Teachers to transform the lives of disengaged learners by delivering Maths, English, or Science tuition with SEMH/SEND needs, in partnership with schools and local authorities.

You can teach in person, hybrid, or online, with 2+ years’ experience, QTS/QTLS, Enhanced DBS, and safeguarding knowledge. Flexible hours and a role with purpose await in a child-centred organisation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD/PMLD in a trauma-informed approach.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and safeguarding awareness.
• Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate if needed) and 2+ professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide Maths, English or Science tuition in person, hybrid, and online for KS1–KS5 with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan lessons and report progress to learners and schools/centres.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and work with local authorities and schools to support vulnerable learners.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
