Job summary

Targeted Provision in the United Kingdom is recruiting SEND Tutors and Teachers to deliver Maths, English, or Science for young people with SEND and SEMH needs. Roles are flexible, in-person, hybrid, or remote, supporting vulnerable learners.

Candidates should have at least 2 years teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, and DBS; we support with safer recruitment, mentoring, CPD, and a purpose-driven work environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD.
• Familiarity with English, Maths or Science teaching.
• Qualified Teacher Status required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to learners with SEMH/SEND needs.
• Support pupils referred by local authorities with flexible, trauma-informed tutoring.
• Plan and report lessons and give regular progress feedback.
• Contribute to improving education for SEND learners and support SEMH needs.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
