Job summary

Targeted Provision is recruiting SEND Tutors and Teachers in the UK to support disadvantaged learners with SEMH and SEND needs. Roles are flexible, offering in-person, hybrid and remote teaching across Maths, English, and Science.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of teaching, QTS/QTLS, enhanced DBS, and a passion for transforming lives of disengaged students. Competitive pay and CPD mentoring are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD in a trauma-informed approach.
• Familiarity with teaching English, Maths and/or Science.
• QTS or QTLS certification is required.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online/remote and hybrid tuition in Maths, English or Science to pupils with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Support students from KS1 to KS5 as appropriate, referred by local authorities and schools.
• Plan lessons and provide regular feedback on progress.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
