Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd is recruiting SEND tutors and teachers in the UK to deliver Maths, English, or Science tutoring with a trauma-informed approach across in-person, online, and hybrid settings.

We offer flexible hours, CPD support, and a community-focused environment for educators working with SEND and SEMH needs. Experience with vulnerable learners is valued and opportunities are self-employed with local authority engagement.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years teaching experience with SEND/SEMH
  • Familiarity with English, Maths or Science teaching
  • Qualified Teacher Status or Teaching Licences (QTS/QTLS)
  • Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references
  • Must be based in the UK with the right to work

Responsibilities

  • Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English or Science tutoring
  • Support pupils from KS1 to KS5 as appropriate
  • Plan and report lessons and give regular feedback on progress
  • Work on a self-employed basis and manage flexible tutoring opportunities

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
  • Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
  • Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
  • Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:
  • Provide in person, online/remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
  • Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
  • Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
  • We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
