Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd is recruiting SEND Tutors and Teachers in the UK to transform the lives of disengaged and vulnerable learners through Maths, English, or Science tuition. You will deliver in person, online, or hybrid sessions with a trauma-informed approach, adapting to KS1–KS5 as suitable for your skill set.

We value applicants with QTS/QTLS and a DBS check (facilitated if needed). Flexible hours and a supportive team accompany opportunities from local authorities and schools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience with SEND/SEMH.
• QTS or QTLS required.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ references.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person/online/hybrid tutoring in Maths, English, or Science.
• Plan lessons and report progress with trauma-informed approach.
• Support learners across KS1–KS5 as appropriate.
• Collaborate with local authorities and schools to identify opportunities.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We want you as part of our mission!
