Job summary

Targeted Provision seeks SEND Tutors and Teachers to support disengaged and vulnerable learners across the UK, delivering Maths, English or Science tutoring in trauma‑informed ways.

You can teach in person, hybrid, or remotely with flexible hours and CPD mentoring; this self‑employed role supports young people in need with a purpose‑driven approach.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) required.
• Enhanced DBS and two professional references.
• UK-based with the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online or hybrid tutoring to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs.
• Plan lessons and report progress with regular feedback.
• Support KS1–KS5 pupils referred by local authorities and schools with flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Contribute to raising the standard of education for SEND learners within the community.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
