Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers in the United Kingdom to support disengaged and vulnerable learners with SEND and SEMH needs. Roles are flexible, with in-person, hybrid or remote delivery and ongoing opportunities.

Requirements include 2+ years of teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, safeguarding knowledge and the ability to work trauma-informed. You will plan lessons, communicate progress, and collaborate with local authorities and schools to make a difference.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH, and trauma-informed approach.
• Experience with KS1–KS5 is a plus.
• Commitment to safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online, or hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science for SEND learners.
• Plan and deliver flexible tutoring and mentoring for vulnerable learners.
• Give regular feedback on student progress and report outcomes.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
