Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to transform the lives of young people with SEND and SEMH across the UK. Join a trauma-informed team delivering Maths, English, or Science tuition in-person, online, or hybrid, with flexible hours.

We offer competitive pay, CPD and mentoring, and support from a SEND Team and community events. Applicants should have 2+ years teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, and an Enhanced DBS with references.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years teaching with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD in trauma-informed setting.
  • QTS/QTLS required.
  • Enhanced DBS and two professional references.
  • UK-based with right to work.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Maths, English, or Science tuition in-person, online, or hybrid.
  • Plan lessons and provide progress feedback.
  • Collaborate with schools and local authorities.
  • Maintain safe learning environments per safeguarding guidelines.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
  • Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
  • Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
  • Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:
  • Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
  • Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
  • Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
  • We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We want you as part of our mission!
SEND Tutor and Teacher employment status:
  • This position involves engaging with us on a self-employed basis, as and when opportunities arise
