Role Overview

Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Merseyside.

Multiple positions are available with ongoing hiring to meet diverse needs. We aim to transform education quality for young people with SEN, SEND, SEMH, MLD, and SLD.

We seek passionate SEN / SEND tutors dedicated to supporting vulnerable learners through creative, flexible, trauma-informed approaches, with support from our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
  • Support referred young people in their educational and social-emotional development
  • Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Key Tasks
  • Plan engaging sessions tailored to individual needs
  • Complete reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS)
  • At least 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or similar
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Enhanced DBS (assistance available if needed)
  • Two professional references
  • Right to work in the UK
Employment Details
  • Engagement as a Worker, short-term contracts
  • Paid via PAYE
  • No fixed hours or expenses coverage
  • Insurance provided
  • Not a self-employed role
