Job summary

Targeted Provision seeks SEND Tutors and Teachers in the UK to support pupils with SEMH and SEND needs across KS1–KS5. Roles are available in person, hybrid, or remote formats, with flexible hours to fit your schedule and a focus on transforming lives within vulnerable learner groups.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, a DBS, and references. Join a child-centered team dedicated to improving outcomes for young people in care and community settings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH, trauma-informed approaches
• Familiarity teaching Maths, English and/or Science
• QTS or QTLS required and enhanced DBS
• UK-based candidate with right to work and 2+ professional references

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English or Science tuition to pupils with SEND/SEMH needs
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Report on lessons and student progress; communicate with local authorities and schools

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
