Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers in the UK to deliver Maths, English or Science tuition to learners with SEND/SEMH needs. Roles offer in‑person, hybrid, and remote teaching opportunities with flexible hours to suit your schedule.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, and DBS clearance. Join a child‑centred team committed to transforming outcomes for vulnerable learners.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or PMLD in a holistic and trauma‑informed way.
• Experience teaching Core Subjects (Maths, English, or Science) to diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online or hybrid tuition for Maths, English or Science to children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan and report lessons; give regular progress feedback to pupils and local authorities/schools when applicable.
• Deliver trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring to disengaged or at‑risk learners within KS1–KS5 as appropriate.
• Contribute to safeguarding and create a safe learning environment.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
