SEN / SEND Teaching Assistant

SEN / SEND Teaching Assistant Role

In this rewarding role, you will work with students on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis throughout their school day, collaborating with class teachers and the SENDCo to ensure pupils make expected progress within an engaging and safe learning environment.

This welcoming SEN school provides an ideal environment to develop your classroom skills and knowledge. Each SEN / SEND Teaching Assistant undergoes an induction programme and ongoing training.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support students across a thriving SEN school
  2. Assist students with ASC / autism diagnosis
  3. Conduct 1:1 and group intervention sessions
  4. Collaborate with experienced teachers and LSAs
Qualifications Required:
  1. Level 3 TA qualification or degree-level education
  2. Experience in education / childcare
  3. Previous SEN / ASC experience is desirable
  4. Calm, compassionate, and proactive demeanor
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Ability to work independently and within a team
