Randstad is currently working with several schools in the Leeds area that are seeking additional tutoring support for their SEN pupils. This support will include following an EHCP plan. Sessions are conducted face-to-face and online, aiming not only to build children's knowledge but also to boost their confidence.
We are eager to hear from inspiring QTS, NQTs, Teaching Assistants with Level 1-3 qualifications, HLTA certification, or graduates considering a career in education. Ideally, candidates will have their DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.

Key responsibilities include:
- Working with small group cohorts from 1:1 to 1:6
- Following EHCP Plans
- Supporting SEN pupils, including those with challenging behaviours
- Creating lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles
- Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement, and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system
- Delivering engaging sessions that support various learning styles
- Driving measurable outcomes from each session to evaluate impact
- Collaborating with educational and care stakeholders to support students
- Adhering to KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines
Desired experience includes:
- Experience tutoring one-to-one or small groups requiring additional support
- Constructive approach to supervision and correction
- Experience in inclusion units, special settings, or alternative provisions
- Experience working with students with SEN, undiagnosed SEN, disengaged youth, or looked-after children
Additional responsibilities involve:
- Demonstrating academic competence and developing tailored curricula
- Assessing and recording student progress
- Assisting with homework, projects, test prep, and academic research
- Helping students understand key concepts learned in class
- Contributing to students' growth and development
- Maintaining a growth mindset in teaching practices
- Working collaboratively with schools, foster carers, and social workers for tailored support
- Following KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines
Essential qualities include:
- Inspirational, effective, and flexible communication skills
- Proficient IT skills, access to a laptop/computer, audio, and visual equipment
- Stable broadband and internet connection
- Ability to build meaningful relationships, encourage, and motivate students
Pay scale: £25.00 - £28.00 P.A.Y.E.
