Job summary

Teacher Active is seeking enthusiastic SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Nottingham and surrounding areas, with flexible day-to-day to longer-term placements. You could provide 1:1 support, small group work, and classroom assistance, helping pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and communication needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN/SEMH needs
• Experience in school, SEN provision, or alternative provision or similar setting
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• Ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils
• Understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being
• Flexibility and reliability when working across different settings

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN/SEMH needs
• Support small groups or classroom activities
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and support emotional regulation
