Job summary

TimePlan Education is hiring a SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant in Oxford (OX4). The role supports students aged 11–16 with SEN/SEMH needs, providing one-to-one and small-group help and working within a supportive provision environment.

The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic and resilient, with good communication and teamwork skills. The position is full-time, term-time only, and based on school hours.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN/SEMH students preferred.
• Able to support 11–16 age group.
• Strong communication and resilience are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN/SEMH needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
• Support students in lessons and around the school.
• Help students manage emotions and regulate behaviour.
• Encourage positive attitudes towards learning.
• Build positive relationships with students.
• Assist with individual support plans and strategies.
• Help maintain a calm, safe learning environment.
