We're working on behalf of a truly brilliant special school on the outskirts of Newbury, seeking SEN & SEMH Learning Support Assistants for an immediate start.
The school has a number of opportunities due to increased student numbers, making this an exciting time to join. Currently, two LSAs are working long-term at the school and highly praise the staff and rewarding work environment.
The role
The primary responsibility of the LSA is to provide 1-1 support to students in classroom settings. Some students may exhibit challenging behavior, so experience in de-escalation is important.
You should be resilient, proactive, positive, and committed to improving these children's lives. Experience in a special school environment is preferred, but applications from support workers with SEMH experience are also welcome.
