Position: SEN Science Teacher
Location: Worcestershire
Salary: £28k - £44k
Role: Permanent Part Time or Full Time depending on the candidate (minimum of 2 days a week)
Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for a SEN Science Teacher in the Worcestershire area on a permanent full time basis. The position for the SEN Science Teacher will need the candidate to cover across different sites within the group and will be working with KS2/KS5 students with autism and anxiety and then up to A Level when needed.
Key Responsibilities for the SEN Science Teacher:
Development of personal care programmes for pupils.
To provide personal support with individual medical conditions that may require specialist training.
Working 1:1 1:3 with students
To work on conjunction with other key workers involved in supporting the pupils' educational and health care needs
To participate in staff meetings, in-service training and courses
Any other duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities/grade of the post as defined,
Must hold a QTS
Must have experience with Autism, Anxiety and Sensory Needs
Teaching 1 year minimum
The ideal candidate would be a Chemistry or Physics specialist who is also able to support students at KS2 up to A Level, including preparing and running the experiments required for the practical endorsement.
