Overview

Science Teacher with SEN Experience - September Start

Location: Near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-time (5 days/week), Ongoing

Pay: MPS to UPS (£153 - £261 per day, to pay scale / experience)

The Role
  • Deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to meet the needs of learners with a range of SEN.
  • Create a supportive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Work closely with support staff and the wider pastoral team to deliver individualised learning plans.
  • Encourage scientific curiosity while promoting emotional and behavioural development.
What We\'re Looking For
  • Ideally Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - although unqualified teachers with strong SEN and Science backgrounds will be considered.
  • Demonstrable experience teaching students with SEN, SEMH, or complex needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and adaptive teaching strategies.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with young people who may have experienced trauma or challenges.
