SEN Teacher – Science Specialist
SEND/SEMH Secondary School (Ages 11–16) | Islington | Permanent, Full-Time | September 2025 Start
Are you an enthusiastic Science specialist with a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are supporting a highly regarded SEND/SEMH secondary school in Islington, who are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
Role: SEN Teacher – Science Specialist
Salary: MPS3+ (Inner London) plus SEN Allowance
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
- Teach Science to students aged 11–16 with SEND/SEMH, adapting lessons to meet a range of needs
- Provide 1:1 and small group teaching, including subjects outside your specialism (English, Maths, Vocational), as required
- Work collaboratively with a skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver a holistic educational experience
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment

Candidate Requirements - SEN Teacher – Science Specialist
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
- Experience working with young people with SEND/SEMH needs
- Flexible approach and willingness to teach a range of subjects on a 1:1 basis
- Excellent communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
