Job summary

Ribbons and Reeves Limited, on behalf of a specialist SEN school in London, is seeking an experienced HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist to join the multidisciplinary SEND team from September 2026.

You will assess speech, language, and communication needs, develop individual and group therapy plans, support staff with strategies, contribute to EHCP processes, and collaborate across the school to embed communication approaches.

Qualifications

HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
Experience working with children and young people.
Strong knowledge of SEND and communication needs.
Experience supporting pupils with autism and/or complex needs.

Responsibilities

Assess pupils' speech, language, communication and interaction needs.
Develop and deliver individual and group therapy programmes.
Provide advice and strategies to teaching and support staff.
Contribute to EHCP assessments, reviews and outcomes.
Support pupils with expressive/receptive language and social communication needs.
Work with AAC and other communication approaches where appropriate.
Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary SEND team to embed communication strategies.
