Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bristol to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEN Resource Provision Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a nurturing, specialist environment.

Your New Role: As a Teaching Assistant within the school's Resource Provision Unit, you will:

1. Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
2. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other specialists to implement tailored education and behaviour plans.
3. Help create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment.
4. Support with personal care needs where necessary (training will be provided if required).

What You'll Need to Succeed:

1. Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, either in an educational or care setting.
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
3. A patient, resilient, and flexible attitude.
4. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
5. A relevant qualification (CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable but not essential.
