Role: SEN - Primary Teaching Assistant

Start: ASAP

Contract: Full Time

Location: N17, Haringey

Rate: 90 - 115 per day

Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN - Primary Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about supporting KS1 pupils. This SEN - Primary Teaching Assistant role can be quite challenging as you will be working with challenging behaviour, we expect you to use safeguarding techniques and various SEN strategies to aid this pupil academically.

You will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.

SEN - Primary Teaching Assistant Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
