SEN Primary Teacher – IslingtonIn partnership with Hays Education
Location: Islington, London

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (depending on experience)
About the Role

Are you a compassionate and skilled teacher with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? A nurturing and inclusive primary SEN school in Islington is seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a specialist setting where you can make a real difference in the lives of pupils with a range of complex needs, including ASD, MLD, and SEMH.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies to support development.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school community.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a specialist or inclusive setting.
  • Strong understanding of EHCPs, behaviour strategies, and inclusive pedagogy.
  • Patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
