About the Role
Are you a compassionate and skilled teacher with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? A nurturing and inclusive primary SEN school in Islington is seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a specialist setting where you can make a real difference in the lives of pupils with a range of complex needs, including ASD, MLD, and SEMH.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies to support development.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school community.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a specialist or inclusive setting.
- Strong understanding of EHCPs, behaviour strategies, and inclusive pedagogy.
- Patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
