Woodside Group - Stonehurst Farm, Leicestershire
SEN Primary Teacher
Full-time and Permanent, Term Time Only
Actual salary £34,121 - £36,207
To start as soon as possible
At Woodside, we specialise in educating young people with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team and work in our wonderful school with our exceptional students and staff.
We are currently looking to appoint a KS2 SEN Teacher to join our team at our unique outdoor setting and teach primary-aged students in our growing Leicestershire (near Loughborough) setting on a full-time, permanent basis.
We're seeking a passionate individual with experience in helping develop children in line with their academic and pastoral targets. The successful candidate will deliver small group sessions (2-3 learners) at a specially designed base that fosters a homely environment, nurturing students and providing the best educational experience once emotional engagement is established. Building trusting relationships, providing security, and communicating clearly and confidently are essential qualities. Resilience in high-pressure circumstances is also required.
Outdoor learning is central to our provisions. The candidate should advocate for outdoor learning, integrating it into as many lessons as possible. Supporting pupils in processing new information, understanding each student's manifestation of autism, and fostering emotional engagement are key responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
The Woodside Group aims to provide a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment where children with ASC can find enjoyment and happiness while accessing individualised timetables. Supporting pupils aged 4-19, we strive for each student to reach their full potential academically and vocationally, with pathways to independent living.
We are a growing community with specialist sites in Leicestershire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire, with expansion plans. Some of our provisions have been rated OFSTED Outstanding.
We believe in putting each individual at the centre of their learning journey, crafting unique experiences that enable students to contribute to society, embrace lifelong learning, and achieve without a ceiling. If you're inspired to join our team, we encourage you to get in touch and start your journey with us today!
