Responsibilities

  • Monitor student progress with regular marking and feedback.

Job Title: SEN Primary Teacher

Location: 3 Dimensions School, Somerset, TA20 3AJ

Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

We are looking for a SEN Teacher to join our team at 3 Dimensions School.

As a SEN Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils' achievement and ability to develop.

You should be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative teaching style, motivated by helping every pupil reach their potential.

  • Teaching across a wide range of learners from early years through primary.
  • Teaching core Maths and English.
  • Supporting the delivery of other curriculum areas.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience teaching students from age 7 up to KS2 levels, including EYFS.
  • Core subject knowledge & experience.
  • Planning & delivering lessons.
  • Documenting student work.
  • Monitoring progress with regular marking & feedback.
  • Confident and creative teaching approach.
  • Practical, hands-on, play-based methods.
  • Consideration of sensory needs and inclusion.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Managing student timetables and individual needs.
  • Drafting and updating ILPs.
  • Attending EHCP reviews and providing progress reports.
  • Other duties as requested by the head of school.
