Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Part time- Teaching Assistant to work in an SEN School in Cheltenham on a full-time basis.
The role
- The school seeks a Part time- Teaching Assistant who will be enthusiastic, empathetic, patient and caring.
- providing support and guidance to the students in their variety of learning needs and assistance with personal care / moving and handling with hoists.
- Delivering support to children across KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
- Building a trustworthy and lasting relationship with students, enabling them to reach their full potential whilst shining bright.
About The School
- The school is a specialist provision for children with SEN. The school teaches children across KS1 and KS2 in small classes with an ambitious curriculum and increased opportunities for SEMH development opportunities.
- The school aims to develop the full potential of each pupil in a respectful, inspiring and supportive environment.
- The school does their upmost to support students in a calm and non-confrontational manner, helping students to feel comfortable enabling them to make the most of their opportunities.
- Easy access from Cheltenham and Gloucester.
To be considered for the role of Part time- Teaching Assistant you will:
- Be flexible.
- Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links
- Experience with both small group and 1:1 is beneficial
- Friendly and nurturing qualities.
- Competent behaviour management skills.
- Have experience supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs and abilities – PMLD, MLD, ADHD, ADD, ASD, Global Delay, VI, HI, SEMH
- Preferably moving and handling training or have recent experience in this.
- Have a patient and caring nature.
- Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- Willing to complete CPD training.

Salary
£445-£470 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
