Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a patient, experienced SEN Outreach Tutor to support a looked-after Year 10 student at his local library in Ilford. The tutor will deliver engaging, accessible lessons in a community setting.

The role requires SEN experience, ability to teach core subjects (English, Maths, Science), and strong behaviour management. Sessions run 2 hours daily, Monday to Friday, at a local Ilford library.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN.
• Confident teaching core subjects at secondary level, including English, Maths and Science.
• Able to adapt lessons to suit the student\'s individual learning needs.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Patient, resilient and skilled at building positive relationships with young people.
• Confident delivering one-to-one tuition in a community setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one tuition to a Year 10 student in a local library in Ilford.

Remedy Education is seeking a patient, experienced and engaging SEN Outreach Tutor to support a looked-after Year 10 student at his local library in Ilford.

The student has special educational needs and would benefit from a tutor who can build a positive relationship, provide consistent support and make learning engaging and accessible. He can sometimes present behavioural challenges, so the successful candidate must be confident managing behaviour with patience, understanding and clear boundaries.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience supporting students with SEN.
• Be confident teaching core subjects at secondary level, including English, Maths and Science.
• Be able to adapt lessons to suit the student's individual learning needs.
• Have strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Be patient, resilient and skilled at building positive relationships with young people.
• Be confident delivering one-to-one tuition in a community setting.
