Job summary

Gumtree is seeking a SEN Nanny or Manny in Wokingham to support an energetic eight-year-old nonverbal child with autism and ADHD. The role requires driving and flexibility for term-time hours, including after-school and weekend shifts in a family environment.

The candidate will engage Tim through outdoor activities, assist with communication, and help with emotional regulation. Live-in or live-out arrangements with private accommodation are available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting autistic children
• Ability to implement communication aids (AAC, Makaton, letterboard)
• Strong emotional regulation support for children

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, engaging support for Tim, promote communication and social interaction
• Support emotional regulation and calm energy during activities
• Facilitate outdoor adventures, swimming, climbing and other supervised activities
