Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking an MLD Assistant for a specialist Secondary SEN School in Bicester, starting September. You will support students with Moderate Learning Difficulties on a 1:1 and small group basis, and help teachers deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.

The role requires a caring, patient approach and excellent teamwork, with a Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm schedule in a supportive, inclusive environment focused on student progress.

Qualifications

• Graduate in psychology or related field
• Interest in SEN or a future career in education
• Ability to work with students with learning difficulties

Responsibilities

• Support students one-to-one and in small groups with Moderate Learning Difficulties
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Encourage students' confidence, independence, and academic progress
• Promote positive behaviour and help create an inclusive learning environment
• Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
