Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience teaching or mentoring SEN learners.

  • Deliver KS3-KS4 Maths, English & Science sessions.
  • Support learners with life skills and college applications.

SEN Tutor/Mentor

London
£25 - £30 per hour
Full time & Part time available

Aspire People is currently seeking passionate SEN Tutors to support learners in the London area. The tuition provision is in-person as one-to-one sessions, which take place in the learner's home or a venue within the community. This is a unique opportunity to use your experience and personal qualities to make a positive impact on a person's life and enable them to fulfill their potential.

Your Role at Aspire People:

As a SEN Tutor, you will play a crucial role in delivering a bespoke educational plan in an engaging and meaningful way. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Deliver KS3-KS4 Maths, English & Science sessions, with additional subjects according to your specialism.
  2. Provide a creative learning approach, incorporating a variety of activities based on the learners' interests to aid engagement.
  3. Support learners as a mentor with life skills and facilitate preparation for adulthood, including college applications and employability skills.
  4. Demonstrate confidence and knowledge in supporting children with SEND.
  5. Minimum of 6 months experience teaching or mentoring SEN learners, including ASD/ASC, ADHD & SEMH, within SEND schools, youth groups, or private settings.
