Job title: SEN Maths / Science Teacher

Location: Hambrook School, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 8HZ

Salary: Up to £44,310 per annum depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

4-day working week after a 3-month settling period

About the role

To provide high-quality education for our students in accordance with policies, procedures, and standards set by the Regulatory Body.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and teach individual students or small groups according to the curriculum
  • Monitor, record, and report on student progress
  • Contribute to school development plans
  • Promote students’ physical, educational, and moral development
  • Develop and implement learning environments and programs tailored to individual needs
  • Coordinate teaching, assessment, and reporting across key stages
  • Devise and review individual education and behavior plans
  • Organize classroom resources and displays to create stimulating learning environments
  • Ensure student safety on and off-site according to risk assessments
  • Brief and support Learning Support Assistants and staff
  • Manage challenging behavior and promote self-control in students
  • Participate actively as a school team member
