Job summary

Mesa Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools across Blackpool, starting in September 2026. You will support pupils in classrooms, work with teachers to create a positive learning environment, and help students reach their full potential.

Roles include one-to-one, small group, and whole-class support in mainstream and SEN settings, with ongoing training and development. The position follows school hours, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in school, childcare, or similar setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN or are keen to develop in this area.
• Patient, caring, and enthusiastic.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible, reliable, and committed to helping every child succeed.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Provide one-to-one, small group, or classroom support as required.
• Assist pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Support students with Special Educational Needs where appropriate.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff.
